Community Service
STEP Community Service Programme
At STEP, students are provided with opportunities where they get exposed to people who are at a hindrance (socially, medically, economically, or otherwise), to make a difference in their lives. This enables them to become a caring and committed individual to develop awareness and better understanding of the communities they live in. STEP Community Service Programme has been divided into three main categories.
- In-house Services: This category involves the community service within the school boundary.
- Lending Help Services: This category involves the community service outside the school boundary.
- Yearly Service Projects: This is an amalgamation of both the above but involves services as a case study planned for one academic year.
STEP philosophy enables its students to have a deeper understanding of all the learning environments. In order to maintain the same, our students reflect (either through written assignments, discussion, or artistic expression) upon their service experience in relation to their academic work, personal values and beliefs, social responsibilities, and career interests. Teachers and House teams decorate display boards for their term’s community services in the form of flowcharts, photographs, reflection expressions etc.
